Welcome to our School Council page.
St Hilda’s School Council makes sure every child’s voice is heard when we are making big decisions. The council is made up of children from every class who have been chosen by their classmates through class elections. Council members represent their class for one year. Our aim is to make our school a better place for everyone while they get the best education. We collect ideas from our classes and then we build on them in School Council meetings which take place every month. We share children’s ideas with school staff and have made changes to improve things like playtime, sports, games and lunchtime in the hall. We talk about important things like making sure school is fair and a happy place for everyone, and we also suggest fun activities like Easter bingo. We feel that being a School Council member is a big responsibility but we are happy to give up our time to do this very important work for our school.
