Values & Ethos

St Hilda’s is a voluntary aided primary school with around 200 pupils. It is situated in Carleton,

near to Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, England. The earliest official records show that Carleton St. Hilda’s C. E. School was in existence in 1680 and was the first school in Poulton-le-Fylde.

St Hilda’s is a warm and friendly school that values the uniqueness of each child, and is committed to raising standards and achievement for all. The children at St Hilda’s are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents under the leadership of our headteacher Mrs H Wareing.

The present building was completed in 1967. It has seven classrooms which are bright, airy and spacious, complemented by extensive grounds which provide excellent opportunites for outdoor learning and play.
